FODMAPs present
Low-FODMAP serving
1 pot made with 2 tbsp (24 g) chia and a low-FODMAP milk
Becomes high FODMAP at
pots built on regular milk, honey or agave, or more than 2 tbsp chia
Chia seeds are low FODMAP up to about 36 g dry, so fructans only become an issue in large deli-jar portions built on a third of a cup or more of seed. What it is mixed with matters just as much: retail and cafe pots are usually coconut or almond milk, while a dairy-milk version adds lactose and honey, agave or mango toppings add excess fructose.

Usually it's a portion difference, not a disagreement. This page scores chia pudding at a serving of 1 pot made with 2 tbsp (24 g) chia and a low-FODMAP milk; at pots built on regular milk, honey or agave, or more than 2 tbsp chia it belongs in the high band. A source quoting the larger serve will call it high, and one quoting the smaller will call it low — the same food, measured at two different amounts.
