Is Oatly Oatmilk (Original) low FODMAP?

FODMAP score

52

Moderate

It depends on the pour — Oatly is essentially an oat base (water, oats) plus canola oil and minerals, and oats carry fructans that get concentrated when milled into a drink. A splash in coffee stays low for most people, but a full glass stacks up enough oat-derived fructans to land in moderate territory. Nothing else in the carton (canola oil, phosphates, calcium salts) adds FODMAP load.

What's inside

Oat base (water, oats)Oats contain fructans and a little GOS; blending them into a drink concentrates the load, so the portion size decides the verdict.
Low erucic acid rapeseed (canola) oilPure fat — no fermentable carbohydrates at all.
Dipotassium phosphateA mineral acidity regulator with no FODMAP content.
Calcium carbonate and calcium phosphatesFortification minerals — inert from a FODMAP standpoint.

📏 Up to about half a cup — a coffee splash — is generally comfortable; a full 8 oz glass or more concentrates enough oat fructans to reach the moderate zone.
