Is Poppi Prebiotic Soda low FODMAP?

FODMAP score

76

High FODMAP

No — Poppi is not low FODMAP. Its prebiotic identity comes from agave inulin, a fructan, now paired with cassava root fiber in the current formulation. The dose per can is smaller than Olipop's, but inulin is still the headline functional ingredient, and fructans are precisely the compound class a low FODMAP approach limits. The 5 g of cane sugar and the apple cider vinegar are not the problem — the inulin is.

What's inside

Organic agave inulinThe core prebiotic in every flavor — an inulin-type fructan that ferments quickly in the gut.
Cassava root fiberAdded in the current formulation; a milder resistant fiber, but it raises the total fermentable load.
Organic apple cider vinegarLow FODMAP itself, but the acidity can bother reflux-prone stomachs.
Organic cane sugarAbout 5 g of sucrose — glucose and fructose in balance, not an excess-fructose source.
Stevia leaf extractNot a polyol; no meaningful FODMAP contribution.

📏 One 12 oz can carries roughly 2-3 g of prebiotic fiber from agave inulin and cassava root — a smaller fructan dose than Olipop, but still a deliberate one.
