Is hummus low FODMAP?
FODMAP score
72
High FODMAP
No — Hummus is high FODMAP and is a common trigger for IBS symptoms in typical servings.
Low-FODMAP serving
1 tbsp (20 g) of a garlic-free version
Becomes high FODMAP at
2 tbsp (40 g) or more
Standard hummus stacks chickpea GOS on real garlic, and published portion data gives garlicky hummus no low serve at all — 2 tbsp is already a high-fructan dose. Homemade with garlic-infused oil and well-rinsed canned chickpeas is the workaround.

Usually it's a portion difference, not a disagreement. This page scores hummus at a serving of 1 tbsp (20 g) of a garlic-free version; at 2 tbsp (40 g) or more it belongs in the high band. A source quoting the larger serve will call it high, and one quoting the smaller will call it low — the same food, measured at two different amounts.
